Studios: Residency Base Camp
Holman Arts & Media Center is the home of the Fine Arts department at Sierra Nevada College and the base camp for MFA-IA Residencies. Residency sessions take place when undergraduate classes are out of session, providing MFA students with total access to the entire facilities.
The large, open studios and up-to-date audio, video, and digital arts labs provide ample resources for students to explore their artistic practice, from traditional genres to performance art and new media. The five exhibition spaces on campus – three in HAMC and two in Prim – bring cutting edge exhibitions to enrich the visual and intellectual environment on campus, and give students ample opportunities to showcase their own work.
Our new home in the Holman Arts & Media Center, made possible by the incredible generosity of Robert and Robin Holman, opened in 2014.
